Piotr Szkudelski (Perfect) exclusively for BeatIt, Pt. 1/8

On June 30 2013 the BeatIt team attended a concert by the legendary 80’s rock hit factory Perfect, which took place in Swarzędz, Poland. We jumped at the opportunity and asked the band’s equally legendary drummer for proverbial “a few short words for the media”. Piotr Szkudelski came to the meeting slightly chilled (he rode on his bike from show to show on that tour) and obviously dreaming of spending the time he had left before the gig in his hotel room. We understood that perfectly as he had every right to be tired after the journey. Besides, we have started numerous interviews with: “Guys, not too long, ok?“. Lucky for us, a cup of hot tea put the man back on his feet and once it happened… Blindman and the Viking forgot they were working and listened with their jaws on the floor to the clourful stories and tasty anecdotes. We started by asking the man (who is one of our all-time drum idols) about the very beginings of his adventure with music, drums (not even a proper drum kit), leather drum heads or his first amateur bands in the 1960’s. We also talk about the bands and drummers that influenced Piotr’s freshly forming talent at that time.
