Blink-182 were forced to cancel their Las Vegas show last weekend as drummer, Travis Barker was diagnosed with clots in his arms. The band (following in the footsteps of such stars as Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion, Elton John, or Billy Joel) has had a residency in Las Vegas. In their case, it is the Palms Hotel and Casino.
Due to that fact, the band has issued a statement on Twitter, which reads:
“Friends, Travis Barker is suffering from blood clots in both arms and unfortunately cannot perform until cleared to do so by his medical team. The situation is currently being closely monitored. Due to this situation it is with great regret that the Blink-182 ‘Kings of the Weekend’ Las Vegas residency dates this weekend must be rescheduled. New dates will be posted on the bands website shortly.”
Travis Barker commented the whole situation in the following manner:
“Drumming is my life and It kills me that I can’t perform for you guys this weekend. I hope to be back as soon as I can.”
