We reported on the biting remarks Kerry King had made about Dave Lombardo in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine (see HERE). On top of that, in the same interview, the guitarist said that there was no chance of Slayer coming back together. One might think, therefore, that the subject has been buried once and for all….

Two weeks later, it turns out that Slayer have just announced two festival appearances later this year! The shows include: Riot Fest in Chicago, IL (Sept 20 – 22) and Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky on Sept 27.
Does this mean burying the hatchet with Dave Lombardo and his participation in the endeavour? Unfortunately not, but another Slayer veteran, Paul Bostaph, will sit behind the drums. European fans can catch up with him live at a bunch of festival dates this summer with Kerry King’s band.
