Musician and producer Trevor Lukather – the son of guitar virtuoso, singer, writer, esteemed session ace and founding member of Toto, Steve Lukather – has informed on his Instagram account that his father is currently in a recording studio together with drum master and former Toto sticksman Simon Phillips. They are working on Steve Lukather’s solo track produced by Trevor (see video HERE).
“I grew up being a leg hugger watching Pop @stevelukatherofficial and @simonphillipsofficial work together in the studio. It was a pinch me moment yesterday producing the guys I looked up to my whole life. Going over section parts with Si, hearing the magic and power that comes out of him effortlessly will always make me chuckle like I did when I was a kid.
And we can all agree that DAMN. This is toooo much.”
