On June 11, 2016, we went to the Blue Note club in Poznań, Poland, to witness a live performance by a highly interesting combo featuring Robert Rasz on the drums. It is Marcin Łosik Trio, whose ‘Emotional Phrasing‘ album was released on Dot Time Records (which made it available in the US, Europe and Asia) and has gathered great reviews from critics in all of the three markets.
Since the band has a good chance of earning the ‘Next-big-thing’ status among jazz lovers the world over, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to film that performance, especially considering the fact that, in our humble opinion, Robert Rasz gives the trio a very characteristic, interesting pulse, which we wanted BeatIt viewers to get acquainted with.
With Robert on the drums and the leader on the grand piano, the trio’s remaining member to be mentioned is Ksawery Wójciński on the double bass.
