Meinl Stick & Brush have announced the introduction of 21 new products for 2021. The additions include new drumstick models, timbales sticks and accessories.
First is the new Luke Holland signature drumstick that features selected US hickory. The diameter falls somewhere between 5A and 5B, which makes it work for many musical applications. A length just past 16″ and short taper work together to achieve a great balance of both speed and power. The round ball tip produces clarity on both the cymbals and drums, and the thicker shoulder provides greater durability.
Next is the new Calvin Rodger’s signature stick model that is not only meant for maneuvering quickly around the kit, but also for laying down deep and heavy grooves. Starting with a 5A diameter and US selected hickory, this stick features a total length of 16.5″ and a long taper designed for both reach and rebound. The round ball tip is supposed to produce articulation and clarity on cymbals as well as drums, while the weight and balance provides the sensitivity and feel that, as the producer states, “makes it a great all-around stick“.
Meinl Stick & Brush have also added two new drumstick sizes, 8A and 9A, to the lineup, and offer all models in Hard Maple. The Hybrid series now includes diameters from the smallest to largest being 7A, 8A, 5A, 9A, and 5B available in both American Hickory and Hard Maple versions.
Also expadned is the Concert series that offers three new models made from American Hickory. The HD1, HD2, and HD4 are made with the same specifications as existing models that are made from Maple.
The next addition are Timbales Sticks that include a 7/16“ model and longer versions of the 1/2“ and 7/16“ model, which are made with 0.5“ of extra length.
Meinl Stick & Brush are also introducing all new and aestheticly pleasing practice pads that are available in 6“ and 12“. Another interesting new addition to the acciessories family is the Stick Wax that is supposed to provide a comfortable, slip-free, and tacky grip when applied to any drumstick or mallet.
