This summer, Poland’s no. 1 heavy metal export act Behemoth embark on a US tour alongside Lamb Of God and Slayer. Sadly, the band’s American fans will not be able to marvel at Master Inferno behind the drum kit. This time, it will not be due to an illness, as it was a few years ago (back then, Kerim “Krimh” Lechner filled in). American drummer Jon Rice (formerly of Job For A Cowboy and Scorpion Child) is helping the band out on this prestigious tour.

Zbigniew ‘Inferno’ Prominski‘s absence is well-excused, though, as he and his wife are expecting their second child. Here is a statement from the man himself:

In July 2017, I’m going to become a father for the second time. I apologize to our fans for sitting this North American summer tour out, but I’m sure Jon Rice, who is an amazing drummer and a good friend, will successfully take over my throne for this period and set the stage on fire.

The remaining members of Behemoth add that they fully support their band mate’s decision.
