Tomasz Goehs (Kult, KNŻ) exclusively for BeatIt, Pt. 3/8
Currently, Polish rock fans know Tomasz Goehs from such renowned bands as Kult and Kazik Na Żywo. Naturally, his C.V. is much more extensive and includes tours and studio sessions with Turbo, Wolf Spider, Creation Of Death, Kr’shna Brothers, Arka Noego or 2Tm2,3.
In this part of our meeting, this outstanding drummer tells BeatIt all about the demise of his drum kit and cymbals during a riot at the famous Jarocin Festival, the first semi-pro kit he purchased as a consequence of the Jarocin tragedy, the subsequent kits he owned (including a white Tama Granstar immortalised in the 1995 classic “Tata dilera” (“A Pusher’s Dad“) video by KNŻ) and the input another Polish drumming legend and our guest’s peer – Maciej “Ślimak” Starosta – had in the process of purchasing them.
Especially for our viewers, here is Tomasz Goehs discussing the life of a young drummer in the early 1990’s in Poland.
