An epic photographic tribute to all the drummers!
‘From the Riser: A Drummer’s Perspective II’ is a stunning collection of over two hundred live action drumming photos shot by great concert photographer, David Phillips, and brought together in a large format coffee table book. The foreword is written by the drumming legend Neil Peart of Rush. This project has been five years in the making and features around hundred twenty drumming legends. The book aims to celebrate the world of drumming by taking you behind the scenes and showing you drummers doing what they do best. You’ll be able to see the view from behind the kit on stage in front of tens of thousands of people, get up close to the action at sound checks and checkout backstage. The behind the scenes photos will give you an Access All Areas Pass to a side of the live music industry few people have seen. Target shipping date is October 2016.
This piece of art is all financed from the pledger’s money, who donate in via indiegogo.com. Much hard work and love has already gone into the making of this book. The project is near completion with all the photos already taken and approved. The money raised from this project will take the ‘From The Riser’ to its conclusion by covering the majority of the printing, production and design costs of the book.
