As every single Drummer and Drummerette out there knows, manufacturers of drum kits, snare drums, cymbals, drum heads, stands, pedals as well as all manner of drum gear and accessories are trying to out do their competitors in inventing newer and newer technological solutions, which usually get introduced in the market at the start of each year. Obviously, this season is no different.
One of leading global cymbal manufacturers – the Zildjian company – have just (before this year’s NAMM Show) announced their new products for 2019. We have already informed you about the new cymbals from the American power brokers (HERE). Let us now see what else they have expanded their product range with.
We will start with sticks. Zildjian are introducing the first-ever metallic painted drumstick called Zildjian Chroma. Pearlescent paint interacts with stage light sources to deliver rich, shining colors and one-of-a-kind visual effect. The sticks are crafted in hickory feature Zildjian’s redesigned 5A profile. The Chroma drumsticks are 16″ in length, and .560″ in diameter. They come in four color finishes: gold, silver, blue and red (although the name says it’s pink).
The new Zildjian in-ear monitors are designed for musicians on stage, in the studio, or practice. They are built with a Dual Dynamic Driver that delivers a smooth frequency response for all listening applications. Includes both medium and large, premium, soft silicone SpinFit™ ear tips. A ¼” adapter and cleaning tool are also included as a part of the round carrying case that holds the monitors.
