As all drum maniacs in Poland recall, on September 17, this year’s biggest and most prestigious drumming event in Poland (along with Drum Fest in Opole) took place, which was MEINL DRUM FESTIVAL 2016.
The Roma Theatre was visited by hundreds of Drummers and Drummerettes, who had come from all corners of Poland to witness the performances by Polish and foreign artists, meet them in person, talk to them, take a sweet photo, check out Meinl‘s wide selection of cymbals and percussion instruments, but also (or perhaps first and foremost) to meet one another in person and integrate just a bit.
The BeatIt team had one more goal to achieve: to film the entire festival (you can watch our video report in another post) but also to talk to the artists participating in this unique event as well as the organizers. In connection with that, we have an interview with four gentlemen for you: Mr. Ken Hoshino (CEO at the Hoshino Gakki company), Mr. Masaki Mizuno (Sales Director at Tama Europe) as well as the event’s organizers, i.e. Mr. Reinhold Meinl and Mr. Alex Meinl. The conversation took place shortly after the closure of MEINL DRUM FESTIVAL 2016.
Enjoy!
