DWe electronic-acoustic drums finally available in Europe

As our viewers and readers may remember, at the end of last year we reported that Drum Workshop (DW) had released its own electronic drum kit, or rather electronic-acoustic, wireless drum kit.

After it was launched in the US, Canada and Japan in November, as well as the Australian premiere last winter, the time has come for the European markets.

As of July 1, Roland Europe Group (REG) has assumed the European distribution of DW and PDP products (including DWe) from DW’s long-time partner GEWA GmbH. With this change, REG will focus on developing the aforementioned brands in Europe.

Commenting on the DW/ PDP distribution transition to REG, Chris Lombardi, President and CEO of Drum Workshop Inc. said: “For over 25 years, DW and GEWA have enjoyed a successful and collaborative partnership. DW is grateful for the efforts and support from the Messner family and the entire GEWA team. This new and exciting chapter will see REG focusing its efforts on expanding the product footprint for DW and PDP and strengthening the brands’ engagement in Europe.”
