Former Journey drummer, Deen Castronovo gets back to music. He is making plans concernig his comeback and looks forward to upcoming events.
After more than two years off of the road caused by being sentenced for domestic violence Deen has received a phone call from Doug Aldrich, guitarist of supergroup Dead Daisies. The group contains Aldrich, bassist Marco Mendoza and singer John Corabi. They are going to record the fourth album of the band. While Castronovo was in Nashville recording, he got another phone call, this one from his former Journey bandmate Neal Schon, looking to enlist his services for an upcoming benefit show in San Francisco billed as Neal Schon’s Journey Through Time. Castronovo has also surprised his fans with the release of the second album of Revolution Saints.
Now sober for more than two years, Castronovo says coming clean was also a crucial piece of the puzzle. “I remember that somebody said, “In order to see clearer, you need to be clear.” As a player, it’s a very spiritual thing”
We wish him all of the best on the road!
