Piotr Szkudelski (Perfect) exclusively for BeatIt, Pt. 5/8
On June 30 2013, the BeatIt team imposed ourselves on Polish rock legends Perfect in connection with their live gig in Swarzędz, Poland. Jumping at the opportunity, we asked the band’s drummer to say a few words to our viewers.
In this part of the highly interesting conversation, Piotr Szkudelski remembers the cymbals used during the sessions for the band’s first, legendary, multi-platinum album (including the necessity to borrow the hi hat or use another low-quality hi hat to cut some of the tracks) and the gear borrowed for the follow-up album sessions from one of the most popular bands of all time in Poland.
We also ask the man about the drum parts from his own catalogue which make him feel satisfied or perhaps even proud, his memories from Perfect‘s classic performance at Rock Jamboree ’81 in Warsaw, Poland, and the concert tours organised at the time, in the midst of political turmoil spawned by the Solidarity movement.
Exclusively for BeatIt, here is Piotr Szkudelski…
