Tomasz Goehs (Kult, KNŻ) exclusively for BeatIt, Pt. 2/8

Currently, Polish rock fans know Tomasz Goehs from such renowned bands as Kult and Kazik Na Żywo. Of course, his C.V. is much more extensive and includes tours and recordings with Turbo, Wolf Spider, Creation Of Death, Kr’shna Brothers, Arka Noego or 2Tm2,3.

In this part of his interview for BeatIt, our guest discusses cymbals available to him at the earliest stage of his career, the sky-high equipment costs (100 US dollars was the equivalent of four to five average monthly salaries in the struggling, soon-to-collapse, communist economy of the late 1980’s).

Additionally, Tomek recalls the gear he was using for studio purposes in the 80’s, the problems metal bands had to deal with at those sessions, talks about how he started playing double bass drum and tells us his answer to the eternal dilemma: “double bass drum or a twin pedal?“.
