Gavin Harrison is one of the greatest drummers of his generation. He is best known for his work with prog rock artists: Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, King Crimson, Blackfield, 05Ric and, most recently, The Pineapple Thief. As a session musician, he has recorded and performed with such names as: Incognito, Lisa Stansfield, Artful Dodger, Paul Young, Eros Ramazzotti, Iggy Pop, Level 42, Sam Brown, Go West, Black, Gail Ann Dorsey, BJ Cole, Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin, Nathan East, Camouflage, Kevin Ayers, or Mick Karn. All drum maniacs also know about his work as a drum educator and ambassador of the most important brands in the world of drums: Zildjian, Sonor, Remo, Vic Firth, Tama, Hardcase, AKG, Gibraltar and Nord.
It is thus always worth listening to what he has to say. The next such opportunity will happen in two days.
