Meinl donates to charity
The Meinl Cymbals company has informed that the entire proceeds from this year’s Meinl Drum Festival (20,000 euros) will go to two charity organizations.
10,000 euros worth of instruments will be sent to the Danilo Perez Foundation in Panama, which supports musically talented children from poor families with no means for music education by offering scholarships to allow them to pursue their musical interests.
Also, 10,000 euros worth of instruments will go to the Károly Istvan orphanage near Budapest, Hungary, where music therapy plays a major role in the educational programme for children including those physically and mentally impaired.
