> > > Jay Weinberg seeing therapist after split with Slipknot

As most Drummers and Drummerettes out there know, in November last year, Jay Weinberg parted ways with Slipknot, and was replaced by Eloy Casagrande, who left Sepultura for this purpose just before the latter band’s farewell tour.

As if that wasn’t enough, Eloy’s place was taken by Greyson Nekrutman, who abdicated from Suicidal Tendencies. In the meantime, his place was taken by…. Jay Weinberg! Those who remember last spiring’s exciting transfers, of course, know what we are talking about. Those confused with all this, perhaps will embrace it now 😉

In any case, Jay is now touring the world as the drummer of Suicidal Tendencies, but this does not mean that the Slipknot case is closed for him. As he said in an interview on the One Life One Chance With Toby Morse podcast:

Truth be told, I’m at kind of a point where I’m not quite yet really ready to talk about [the split], really. And that’s not to dismiss the conversation, but I’ve spent time, and spend time, just processing the entire experience. And the experience not being the last six months, but really the last 10 years. I have a fantastic therapist who helps me. Before I speak on it, it’s important for me to do the right work of processing these events that, you know you spend 10 years exclusively committed to one thing. There’s a lot to process that on the other side… And I think there is definitely a time where I’ll speak to my lived experience over those 10 years – just not quite yet.
