> > > Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts with confirmed performers

Foo Fighters and Taylor Hawkins’ family have announced the first round of artists who will perform at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts scheduled to take place in London and Los Angeles in September.

Performers who will play at both shows include: Brian May and Roger Taylor (Queen), Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson (formerly of Rush), Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures), Mark Ronson, Stewart Copeland (former drummer with The Police), Wolfgang Van Halen, Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), drummer Omar Hakim (Miles Davis, Weather Report, Sting, Dire Straits, David Bowie, Carly Simon, Chic, George Benson), Queen touring member Rufus Taylor and Hawkins’ cover band Chevy Metal.

Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), Liam Gallagher (Oasis, Beady Eye, solo) and Supergrass will appear onstage in London only, with comedian Dave Chappelle billed as a special guest.

Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette, Gene Simmons (Kiss), Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue, Sixx A.M.), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Luke Spiller (Struts), Jon Theodore (Queens of the Stone Age drummer), Pat Wilson (Weezer drummer) and Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine drummer) are on the bill for the Los Angeles show.

More artists will be announced at a later date.

London show date: September 3, 2022.

L.A. show date: September 27, 2022.

Tickets are on sale as of today, 9:00am local times.

According to the announcement, the performers will be “playing the songs that Taylor loved and created, with and alongside his Foo Fighters brothers Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee.”

According to the band, the shows will benefit charities which are to be announced later.
