BeatIt presents: Zildjian Spiral Stacker

Very recently, we received a delivery from the official Polish Zildjian distributor – the Ada Music company. Apart from the Ludwig Atlas Standard hardware set which we presented three weeks ago, the parcel contained five circular, more or less shiny toys with that characteristic, instantly recognisable, black or red logo on, which raise the blood pressure of all those interested in the topic, and which BeatIt was asked to present.

In order to perform the task, we present the Zildjian Spiral Stacker, sized 10 and 12 inches, as well as the smallest cymbals from the Zildjian Oriental China Trash family, namely the 8″ and 10″.

The new Zildjian Spiral can be neard and seen both solo and stacked with the Chinese cymbals. In our opinion, as the name suggests, the Spiral Stacker sounds better stacked with another cymbal rather than used solo.

The sound effect is really worth the while as the stacker extends the decay of the tiny Chinese cymbals giving them a more ‘sandy’ characteristic at the same time.
