Young Drum Hero 2014 Contest Finals, Pt. 2
On October 18, 2014, as part of the 23rd International DRUM FEST Festival, the 9th ‘Young Drum Hero‘ National Drum Set Playing Contest was held. The widely talked-about event has resonated among drum lovers in Poland and the BeatIt team couldn’t have possibly missed out on that.
The live performance included all the twenty finalists and took place at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School in Opole, Poland. The jury, consisting of Beata Polak (Wolf Spider, educator), Michał Dąbrówka (independent session ace), Marek Kapłon (TSA) and Maciej Nowak (‘Pekusista’ magazine), chose the Grand Prix winner as well as handed in a number of other awards in two age groups – below 18 and 18 to 25.
