September is going to be very interesting in Manchester this year!
The UK Drum Show is a two day event, dedicated wholly to the art of drumming and percussion at one of Manchester’s top venue’s, Manchester Central. This modern and perfectly located venue in the heart of Manchester City centre, has fantastic local and national transport links, along with an 800 seated auditorium to witness your drum legends demonstrate their skills and musicality. Whether you are new to drumming, or a well versed professional, The UK Drum Show provides a variety of different experiences over the weekend of the 23rd & 24th September 2017. This action packed weekend provides show visitors with the opportunity of hearing and learning from some of the most respected artist and educators from around the world, along with trying and buying the very latest drum and percussion innovations from the best brands in the business. Visit any one of the fantastic brand booths and learn from the folks that make or distribute every type of drum, percussion or related accessory that is available on the market, all under one roof.
And what about all these artists? The line up is quite amazing! There are drummers from every style of music, and it’s really beyond the words. Just look at all those BIG names! During the UK Drum Show you will be able to watch and listen to:
- Stanley Randolph (Stevie Wonder)
- John JR Robinson (Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones, and the countless list of other great artists)
- Dennis Chambers (legendary funk and fusion drummer, Carlos Santana, Funkadelic)
- Richard Jupp (Elbow)
- Bob Knight (Michael Buble, Nicole Scherzinger, Cee Lo Green)
- Adam Betts (Three Trapped Tigers)
- Craig Blundell
- Michael Schack (Drummer, DJ and producer)
- Thomas Lang (do we have to add anything more?)
You will also be able to try out some things from the biggest brands around, such as Tama, Drum Workshop, Zildjian, Paiste, Sonor, Ludwig, Sabian, Pearl or Mapex. But the great thing about these events is, that you can discover new manufacturers, who are making products, which are really good looking and great sounding! They are equal to the top-level equipment, but haven’t earned their name yet! There is plenty of new solutions in drum gear, which can be weird at first, but then you are coming to the conclusion, that it can really work! After the last year’s London Drum Show, we believe, that you should visit UK when you are a drummer. We want to invite everybody to Manchester this September- you have great artists, a lot things to try (and hit of course), wonderful venue and thousands of drum maniacs. What can be better than that? You just have to be there!
