On September 14, a new 4-part series will be released about “unsung heroes of music”. The project involves 30 best drummers from around the world such as Chad Smith, Steve White, Ginger Baker, Clem Burke
The whole show include interviews, performances, comparisons of various musical genres and their rhythmic connections with each other. The series is to reveal the musicality of percussion, orchestrations of various licks, it is to explain how playing drums affects the emotions of a given song and how drummers improve the art of playing drums, going beyond simple backbeats.

Director of Sky Arts Phil Edgar-Jones said: “At Sky Arts we always want to get under the skin of the craft that goes into all cultural genres and with ‘Give The Drummer Some’ we aim to uncover the art of the beat with the best exponents of rhythm the world has to offer. It’s toe tapping TV at it’s very best.”
The commissioning editor is Barbara Lee. Series producer and director Chris Wilson, exec is Chris Lent and series consultant Steve White.
