Sonor have recently introduced a new line of snare drums called the Kompressor.
These snare drums are supposed to transform air to sonic energy. As the producer advertises them: “The sensitive response, the powerful and characteristic SONOR sound and the wide range of materials and sizes make these snares a true workhorse, suitable for a variety of musical styles.”
Thanks to the Optimum Shell Measurements (OSM) applied by Sonor, drumheads can vibrate more freely due to the slightly reduced shell diameter. The shells are made from steel, brass and aluminum. For maximum tuning stability, even under extreme conditions, these snares are also equipped with TuneSafe lugs.
