Sabian Cymbits and XSR Effeks Clap Stack

Sabian have just put out two new effect-cymbal-related products – Cymbits and the XSR Effeks Clap Stack.

Cymbits are made from seven 2-inch O-Zone B20 cutouts that are manufactured into a chain. These can be stacked on a ride cymbal to create a sizzle effect that also shortens sustain. Stack them on a crash to create a trashier sizzle effect. They can also be placed on or in your hi-hats to create a jingle-type effect.

Beyond cymbals, they can be held in place with a drum key on a tuning lug of snares and toms to add a distinctive distortion and jingle to any drum. This allows the player to be as innovative with sound.

The XSR Effeks Clap is a 3-piece stack, sized 11″/13″/15″, and it is made from raw B20 Sabian Bronze alloy. All the three cymbals are slightly curved and relaxed to allow for the classic 80s digital clap sound. Sabian aimed at reducing all high-pitched metallic resonances and giving a pure and clean sound.
