Rogers was established in 1849, which makes it one of the oldest and most respected names in the world of vintage drums. The brand was reintroduced in the global market in 2017 with the rebirth of the Rogers Dyna-Sonic snare line – a tribute to the snare drum that ‘changed the game’ in the mid-20th century.
Now, Rogers are introducing the ThunderTone snare to its snare drum range. It features an expanded 10” x 14” body with a 42-strand snare wire designed to ‘take full advantage of the ThunderTone’s extended response’. It can be added as a secondary snare or used as the main snare. As the manufacturer puts it, ‘this ‘tone-bucket’ snare drum boasts a thunderous voice across a wide tuning range’.
The instrument also features a Gold / Silver lacquer sparkle finish with classic Rogers’ art-deco-inspired appointments, and ThunderTone‘s on-board hex legs for extra low or high positioning that also offer easy placement around stands and pedals.
