Remo D. Belli passes away

Remo D. Belli has died. Mr. Belli was the founder of the legendary drumhead-making REMO company (known to drummers all around the world) and probably the greatest innovator in this field. It was he who pioneered the use of polyester heads, which eventually replaced those made of calfskin. He made legendary Buddy Rich one of the first endorsers for the brand and another legend Louie Bellson served as Remo‘s vice president.
