Daniel Karpiński & Nowsza Aleksandria – “Ludzie Wschodu”, Live for BeatIt
On July 8, 2016, which was the second day of this year’s edition of the legendary Jarocin Festival held in Jarocin, Poland, an unusual concert by an unusual band took place. It was a live performance by the Nowsza Aleksandria project, which is a tribute to the 1986 milestone album ‘Nowa Aleksandria‘ by the Polish cold wave/punk classics Siekiera.
Among the musicians invited by Piotr ‘Drivealone’ Maciejewski to participate in the project was BeatIt’s good friend Daniel Karpiński, who is the man behind the drums in two bands: Snowman and MIKROBI.T and successfully runs the Avant Drum Shop, which is based in Poznań, Poland. We thought he laid some really phat beats, which took the revamped and modernized arrangements of those classic tunes to the new level.
Drummers and Drummerettes! We give you Daniel Karpiński and the Nowsza Aleksandria project in a live rendition of the song ‘Ludzie Wschodu‘. Polish cold wave at its best!
