The remarkable Legacy of the Royals drum kit from British Drum Co. was used by Nicko McBrain across three performances at the Mountbatten Festival of Music 2024 with the Massed Bands of the Royal Marines at London’s Royal Albert Hall last weekend. The kit features Iron Maiden‘s Eddie in different Royal Marines uniforms from 1664 to the present day.

Now, after the performances, the kit has been placed up for auction, with proceeds going to The Royal Marines Charity. Auctioned, along with the drum set, also are:
- A full set of Casino hardware provided by British Drum Co.
- A full set of cymbals and a handprinted gong provided by Paiste Cymbals
- A full set of protective cases provided by Hardcase International Limited.
The current bid is £51,000, which means the next minimum bid must be £52,000. Who’s up for it?
