During this year’s NAMM Show (watch our reports from the event, e. g. https://en.beatit.tv/namm-2018-sonor-booth/) Iron Maiden drummer, Nicko McBrain, announced the opening of his first drum store. The aptly named Nicko McBrain’s Drum One is located inside the old Manchester Drum Centre, which Drum One acquired in the autumn of last year.
Apart from the usual commercial activities as well as drum shows and clinics featuring the best drummers on the planet, the Drum One store will also exhibit Nicko’s classic drum kits he used during Iron Maiden tours. Lottery winners will even get to play them!
On the store’s website, Nicko Mc Brain writes: “Welcome to DRUM ONE, my brand new, most delectable drum emporium based in Manchester, England. We have created a percussion heaven for all that share a passion and love for these most beautiful instruments. In the store, you will find the world’s best drums, percussion, and all the bits and bobs that accompany these products. We have a stunning, brand-new showroom where you can talk to a fantastic team of people who are as mad about drums as I am and if you’re nice to ‘em they will let you have a bash on a nice drum set.
