Three new TAMA Star Solid snares
All Drummers and Drummerettes have already heard of the wonderful and costly TAMA Star instruments along with the accompanying hardware. This year, it is time to introduce snares from this critically acclaimed line.
According to the manufacturer, the TAMA Star snare drum line has recently been enriched by three solid wood snares which have a 14″ x 6″ shell that is 7 mm thick and features 7 mm Sound Focus Rings. The snares are equipped with 8-hole die-cast hoops, One-Piece Lugs, a Linear Drive snare strainer and Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snappy Snares.
The Solid Zebrawood model is available in a dark gray (Charcoal Zebrawood Burst) or dark blue finish (Indigo Zebrawood Burst) and provides a dry, sensitive voice as well as quick, articulate response. The Solid Spruce model with its Oiled Natural Spruce finish has quite a unique character of sound among all snares which TAMA has ever made. It offers an extra soft attack with fabulous open tone. Sound Focus Rings made of same wood add the volume, and rich resonance for this special snare drum.
