In late January of this year, we indicated that there was going to be a new line of cymbals from Meinl. Well, it has just been announced and it’s an extension of the Pure Alloy series called the Pure Alloy Custom in Smoked Bronze finish. These machine-hammered cymbals come as the company’s response to requests for thinner models in the Pure Alloy line-up.
The sonic characteristics include a slightly softer, more classic-sounding attack with a warmer body, faster decay and modern softness while maintaining the bright shimmer of Pure Alloy.
