Some time ago, that Mikkey Dee had been asked to join Scorpions on their tour as a temporary replacement to give James Kottak time to deal with his health issues and be able to return to the fold this fall.
As it turns out, Mikkey is joining the band permanently! Wait, wait… We thought they were going to stop alltogether after this tour! Looks like it’s not gonna happen this time (again)…
Here are the statements from both parties.

Mikkey Dee: “I am now a permanent member of Scorpions. (…) I grew up listening to Scorpions and have always loved the band. We have been friends for a long time so traveling and performing this year with Klaus, Rudolf, Matthias and Pawel has been loads of fun and the crew is very professional. (…) Lemmy always had great respect for Scorpions for being a real rockband and I am sure he is proud up there that I moved on and for playing with this class act.”
