Watch the video presenting this cymbal set below. Matt Garstka says in it:

These are all Byzance cymbals. One thing I really like about these hats is the definition on the tip of the stick and also the kind of ‘slosh’ and the open ‘bark’ to them. They’re feeling kind of ‘papery’ enough like some jazz cymbals and there’s some give to them, yet, defined enough for articulate, choppy hat-type patterns. I play the crash for quite some time now. That’s because it works for so many different styles of music and just expressive playing in general. In my opinion, it opens up like no other cymbal. I think the thinness of it gives it the capability to open up really nice swells on it and yet it still crashes and has very articulate crash to it. The ride is just what the name suggests. It’s an equilibrium as far as the bell goes, as far as the tip sound in the middle and the crash sound towards the bow of the cymbal. This china, in my opinion, is the best china on the cymbal market. Period. I think we’ve really captured the classic ‘chaw’ sound that a china should have, and there should be a little bit of trash, dirtiness, raggedness, yet, there’s still an articulation that can cut through a set of cymbals.”
