Deadland Ritual – a band created by musicians such as: Black Sabbath bassist – Geezer Butler, Billy Idol guitarist – Steve Stevens, former drummer of Guns N ‘Roses – Matt Sorum and vocalist of the band Apocalyptica – Franky Perez.
The band was formed by Matt Sorum, who first called Steve Stevens and Franky Perez, they specified in what musical style they want to play. The icing on the cake seems to be the recruitment of Geezer Butler and establishing cooperation with the producer Greg Fidelman. That’s how Deadland Ritual was created. Unexpectedly, the first song of this group appeared in the middle December.
Geezer Butler about the project: “I was working on a new solo album when this came to light. It was appealing for me to work in a band environment because that’s what I’m used to, so [it] feels really natural. I’m really looking forward to playing shows with these guys.”
Deadland Ritual announced two live performances at the Download festival in Great Britain on June 14 and at Hellfest in France on June 22.
