Last weekend, it was announced on AC/DC‘s social media that the band were rehearsing for the forthcoming Power Trip festival, taking place between October 6 and 8 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, USA. Apart from AC/DC, the bill includes some of the biggest acts in hard rock and metal: Guns n’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Judas priest, Metallica and Tool.
AC/DC will perform on Oct 7 and Phil Rudd is not going to sit behind the drum kit. The rock and roll veterans have hired Matt Laug to do the job. A short statement on the band’s socials reads: “PWR UP for Power Trip! Listen to the rehearsal of the boys powering up with Cliff Williams, who’s coming out of retirement for the festival and Matt Laug on drums.”
