On April 1,Yamaha Drums announced on Facebook profile that the great drummer, producer, composer – Matt Chamberlain became a new member of Yamaha family.
Matt Chamberlain – studio musician who moves freely in many diverse genres. He has performed with such musicians as David Bowie, Fiona Apple, Neko Case, The Master Musicians of Jajouka, Soundgarden, Bill Frisell, Robert Fripp, Tori Amos, Morrissey, Phantogram, George Clinton, Mike Watt, Elvis Costello, Pearl Jam, Edie Brickell and New Bohemians, Kanye West and many more. He cooperated with, among others, Hans Zimmer.
Matt chose the Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple in the Jade Green Sparkle finish and Yamaha 800 series hardware, 14 “x7” Yamaha Recording Custom Stainless Steel Snare and 14″ x6,5″ Yamaha Recording Custom Aluminum Snare.
“I feel like I have finally found the ideal tones I’ve been searching for with my toms, kickdrum and snares,” said Chamberlain. “I can tune these drums anyway I want, and they will consistently sound amazing. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Yamaha family.”
