We started this week by reporting that, after difficult and multi-stage auditions, John Hoffman was selected as the new drummer of Primus.
In the wake of this event, his career is gaining steam, and we end the week with the news that the musician has just joined the esteemed ranks of DW artists. Hoffman wrote on his social media yesterday:
“This is a day I’ve been waiting for since I was 13 years old and watched the ‘Drum Workshop: The American Dream’ video on VHS in my middle school band class. I have had an absolute love affair with DW ever since I first laid eyes on them. It is with great pride and overwhelming joy that I can announce I’ve been officially added to the DW artist roster, and I could not be happier to say that to the world. HUGE thanks to the DW family for inviting me into this amazing company. I can’t wait to represent the brand to the fullest and rock these amazing drums on every stage. This is an absolute dream come true, stacked on top of this dream come true I’m already living by becoming a member of one of the most influential bands in history, Primus. I’m the luckiest man on Earth. Thanks to you all for sharing this incredible journey with me. I’ll see you soon. Much love“
