GEWA Music USA have announced a significant strengthening of the company’s leadership. Rick Hall has been appointed CEO of GEWA Music USA, Terry Bissette has taken the Vice President seat for drums and percussion, and Andrew Shreve has joined the company as director of brand and artist relations for Gretsch Drums.

Effective January 1, 2024, Rick Hall took the helm as the new CEO, beginning a new era of strategic growth and innovation. Complementing this leadership expansion, Terry Bissette has been appointed vice president of Drums & Percussion effective March 11, 2024. The previous CEO of GEWA Music USA, Xia Jin, has been promoted to President.
Rick Hall ‘s appointment as CEO marks a pivotal moment in GEWA Music USA‘s journey to become a leading company in the musical instrument industry. His vision for the company is in line with its core values of excellence, innovation and quality.
Terry Bissette, who has extensive experience in sales, marketing, distribution and electronics in the industry, will head the Drums & Percussion division. His appointment is expected to strengthen GEWA Music USA ‘s market position, he will manage the distribution of Gretsch Drums in North America and the inclusion of Schlagwerk as a key brand in the division. The expansion of the Drums & Percussion division will focus not only on sales and marketing, but also on manufacturing excellence at Gretsch Drums, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and innovation are met.
The division’s portfolio, which includes Gretsch Drums, Schlagwerk and GEWA Digital Drums, is poised for significant growth and development under the new leadership. Supporting the division’s ambitions, Andrew Shreve will manage brand and artist relationships, and Dave Anania will work with Terry Bissett as “salesman on the road.” In addition, Jim Stanek ‘s role as customer service and inside sales manager for drums and percussion instruments will be key to maintaining the company’s commitment to excellent customer service.
