As our viewers already know, on Oct 20, 2014, as part of the 23rd International DRUM FEST Festival, Gene Hoglan – the American metal drum master – hosted a clinic at the Opole Music School in Poland. Obviously, we also jumped at the opportunity to do an in-depth interview with the man.
In the first part of our talk, BeatIt’s guest discusses the beginings of his love for the drums, his first kits, earliest musical fascinations, first band, as well as the very first recording session.
