Slash – one of the greatest guitarists of today, a guitar hero, known mainly from Guns N’ Roses, but also enjoying a successful solo career, has prepared a new album, entitled “Orgy of the Damned.”
The artist’s next solo release, however, will be different from previous ones, as it will pay tribute to Slash’s musical heroes and feature his own renditions of the songs that have influenced him the most by such artists as: Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Allman Brothers Band, The Temptations, Steppenwolf, Muddy Waters, Fleetwood Mac, Albert King, or Lightnin’ Hopkins.
The singers accompanying Slash on this release include: Beth Hart, Demi Lovato, Iggy Pop, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company, The Firm, Queen +), Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes), Chris Stapleton, and Gary Clark Jr. The album will be released on May 17, and the single “Killing Floor,” featuring Brian Johnson (AC/DC) on vocals and Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) on harmonica, has already been released.
The backing band features: Johnny Griparic (bass), Teddy Andreadis (keyboards), Tash Neal (guitar, vocals) and drummer Michael Jerome.
