Dave Grohl gave an acoustic performance at a charity event last Saturday raising funds for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. At some point, Foo Fighters founder and frontman introduced a special guest – his eldest daughter, Violet, to perform a cover of Adele’s “When We Were Young“.
Before dad accompanied the 12-year old on an acoustic guitar, he introduced his guest in the following fashion: “I remember her saying, ‘Dad, you’re not even the best singer in the family. And she’s right!”
You decide for yourselves whether Dave Grohl can assess Violet’s singing abilities. We certainly like what we heard…
During the event, 9-year-old Harper Grohl also took to the stage to play drums alongside her father and sister. The trio performed two songs: Queen’s “We Will Rock You” andFoo Fighters’ “The Sky Is A Neighborhood“. The all-acoustic set also featured the Foo Fighters singer playing his band’s “Everlong“, “My Hero“, “Times Like These“, “Learning to Fly” and “Best of You“.
