Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski presents the new Yamaha Stage Custom
The time and the place of our meeting were clear from the very begining – Thursday, the 29th of November 2012 in Poznań, Poland. By 4.30 in the afternoon, the Poznań Music Store had attracted quite a group of fans and admirers of the man and his talent. It was there that Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski (of Dimmu Borgir and Vader fame) presented drum parts to “a bunch of love songs” (a quote from Daray) by the band Masachist, which he is a member of, but also (or rather most of all) the possibilities offered by the new version of a classic instrument from Yamaha, i.e. the Stage Custom model. It is common knowledge that the material used for the Stage Custom is birch. Given the fact that the surname Brzozowski stems from the Polish word “brzoza“, which means “birch“, who better to do the job than Daray? If you are interested to see what drum clinics conducted by our blast-beat master are like or how much can be bashed out of the new Yamaha Stage Custom, you have come to the right place. Here is Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski performing “Drilling The Nerves” by the band Masachist.
