Chester Thompson has returned to Sonor, which is a brand he was endorsed by in 1990s.
Sonor‘s statement on social media reads:

Thompshon comments:
“Sonor drums are designed so that the drums resonate in a natural way that causes them to sound amazing in whatever genre or venue they are used in. I have used them in arena and stadium shows as well as intimate theaters and jazz clubs and they always sound good.“
Chester Thompson has toured and/or recorded with the likes of Ben E. King, Frank Zappa, Santana, Weather Report, The Pionter Sisters, Peter Cetera, Amy Grant, Bee Gees, John Fogerty, Genesis, Phil Collins, Steve Hackett, Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel, Steve Winwood, Air Pocket, Fire Merchants, Freddie Hubbard, or Alphonso Johnson. He has also released three solo albums under his name and two with Chester Thompson Trio.
