Cherisse Osei has joined the growing British Drum Co. family of artists.
Cherisse is a drummer and educator, who has worked with Mika, Paloma Faith, Bryan Ferry, or Kelly Jones (Stereophonics). Since 2016, she has been touring and recording with Simple Minds. She has featured on major American, UK and European TV shows and played the world’s best music festivals, including Coachella, Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight, South by Southwest, Fuji Rock, Exit and Roskilde.
Simple Minds are currently at the start of a six month European Tour, which takes in the festivals across the summer 2024.
Cherisse’s current touring kit is a BDC Legend Series Ravenglass. The set-up is:
- 20 x 18” Bass Drum
- 10 x 7” Rack Tom
- 12 x 7” Rack Tom
- 16 x 16” Floor Tom
- 18 x 16” Floor Tom
- 20 x 14” Gong Drum
- 14 x 8”- Custom Maple Snare Drum
- 14 x 6.5” – Aviator Snare Drum

The sound of my BDC kit really resonates with me and since I’ve been playing it, it’s really elevated my performance.
