In this part of BeatIt’s visit at Perlazza Studio, Przemysław Wejmann talks about choosing and recording different hi hat types and heads used on toms, snares and bass drums. Another key issue discussed by our guest is dampening for recording, drum tuning and constantly minding the pitch when recording (tuning screws tend to go loose, which is something that drummers often forget when in studio). The last thing that Przemysław Wejmann draws our attention to is the fact that many drummers arrive at his studio completely clueless as to the sound they would like to accomplish, having done absolutely no thinking about this problem.
