As some of the metalheads out there already know (and certainly Trivium fans), the band has a new drummer as Alex Bent is officially out.
Greyson Nekrutman stepped in at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, CA, last month but other commitments made it impossible for him to continue so the new sticksman is Alex Rudinger, who was already approached by Matt Heafy and co. a few years ago.
Alex has recorded or played live with such acts as: Whitechapel, Revocation, Monuments, Light The Torch, Evan Brewer, Intronaut, War of Ages, Cognizance, The Faceless, Threat Signal, Conquering Dystopia, 7 Horns 7 Eyes, and more. He is endorsed by Tama Drums, Meinl Cymbals, Evans Drumheads.
The band’s social media statement reads:
“[…] Alex Rudinger will join us on tour starting next week and will be part of our writing sessions for the next Trivium record. We’re thrilled to finally share the stage with him and explore what’s ahead. See you on the road.“
Trivium with Alex behind the drum kit are already three dates into a North American tour with Jinjer and Heriot, promoting their latest EP, titled “Struck Dead“.
