If you really want verified, practical information about drumming equipment, you couldn’t have come to a better place. For years, we’ve been running BeatIt.tv – a portal created by drummers, and for drummers. We test everything that may be of interest to beginners and professionals alike: from classic acoustic drum kits, all the way through to electronic devices, drumsticks, cymbals and all necessary accessories.

As active musicians who regularly perform and record, we offer not only dry technical data, but, above all, honest opinions and substantive conclusions drawn from the daily use of equipment. So you can be sure that our tests are reliable and useful in practice.

On BeatIt.tv, you will find:
– Detailed tests and gear comparisons,
– Presentations of instruments in action,
– Interviews with drummers and gear manufacturers,
– Educational materials and coverage of major industry events.

There’s a reason why we’re considered the leader in percussion equipment testing in our home country of Poland – see for yourself what sets us apart! 🥁

Today, we take a closer look at a unique device referred to as the Stomp Box. It is a compact, rhythmic tool that can add character not only to a drummer’s playing, but also that of a guitarist or solo singer. We have three of them at our disposal, and we will test their sound, convenience of use and practical application on stage as well as in the studio.

Participating in our test are:

Maciej Głuchowski – drummer with over thirty years of experience, co-founder of BeatIt.tv, known as a member of such bands such as Dump, Armia, Acid Drinkers, and Flapjack. For years, he has been combining live performances with studio knowledge, testing percussion equipment at the highest level.

Robert Luty – Meinl artist, one of the most renowned session drummers in Poland, working with Natalia Kukulska, Urszula Dudziak, Kayah, Poluzjanci, and many other notable artists. He is also the house drummer on the TV shows Dancing with the Stars (Polish edition) and The Voice of Poland. This time he joins our test to evaluate the capabilities of stomp boxes from a professional perspective.

See what we think of these inconspicuous, yet extremely inspiring devices!

Maciej Głuchowski

At first, they play a little differently than standard pedals, but after a minute of getting used to them, they work great. The sensitivity is very good. The STB6 surprises with its depth of sound, and the STB8 really manages to imitate classic percussion instruments.”
Robert Luty
