Many of you have met Tama Superstar Hyper-Drive series before. It’s on the market for quite some time, and people really love it. This series is known for shallow toms which are really easy to tune and control. Although they are not so big, they sound really full and decent. Many sets are equipped with 22×20″ bass drum which gives extra power to the sound. Many finishing options, ability to chose between birch and maple wood and the durability of the Hyper-Drive system- it all caused the big success of these drums. It came the time for some new ideas and uprgrades, so we present to you Tama Superstar Hyper-Drive Duo kit!
It’s a new product for 2017 and if you love experimenting with some cool and fresh ideas- it’s just perfect for you! The key component of this series is the 9″ x 14″ snare drum, which we call the “Duo Snare”. This drum is unique not only because of its uncommon 9″ depth, but also because it is equipped with floor tom legs and brackets. You can tune this drum low and place it where the first floor tom would traditionally go. As such, the snare can function as a low/deep snare with the snare wires engaged, or as a 14″ floor tom with the snares off. As you can see- it all depends on you and your creativity.
