On the 8th and 9th of October the Opera House in Wrocław, Poland, will hold two concerts by Jojo Mayer and his band Nerve. One of the most renowned, innovative and popular drummers of our time will perform there as part of an international artistic platform called Eklektik Session, which defines its goals as “burring stylistic boundaries”.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that both concerts will be held in a reverse perspective, i. e. the audience will be placed on the stage and in the boxes, while the band will set up in the audience.
Additionally, the excellent drumming, syth sounds and modulated bass, which are characteristic of Nerve, are to be enriched by the participation of musical guests as the Eklektik Orchestra. Here is the line-up:
NERVE
Jojo Mayer / drums
John Davis / bass, modulation
Jacob Bergson / keyboards, synths
Aaron Nevezie / audio mix, effects
Eklektik Orchestra “Reversed”
Jojo Mayer / drums
John Davis / double bass
Ståle Storløkken / Rhodes, electronics
Dieb13 / turntables, electronics
Alfred Vogel / drums
Jan Kantner / alto saxophone
Dominik Gawroński / trumpet
Adam Bławicki / saxophones
Paweł Jabłczyński / double bass
Paweł Pastuszka / double bass
Bond / bass, electronics.
Those who didn’t catch up with Jojo and Nerve in Hamburg and Berlin can not only make up for that in Wrocław, but get an opportunity to experience something special and out of the ordinary.
